My mom had a 92 sl2 that she passed to me when she died. I’m in the process of replacing parts and gaskets but it runs pretty good. It sat for 9 years in the Texas heat so it needs some love.

Had one like this in 96’ it was lightly customized fully loaded. Tinted windows, luggage rack, leather with real wood trim , fog lights , the doors were actually nicer than my 2017 Jaguar XE. And always waxed and spotless like showroom new. Friends teased me about it called it the Sharp Saturn lol The car was very good for us. Even the rear bumper read Saturn in black letters. It was sharp!

Had a blue 94 sl2 bought new. Manual Transmission. Rear-ended in 2003 with 240,000 miles. Original clutch and exhaust (which was pretty good for a Michigan daily driver). Thanks for the review. Really brought back memories.

I bought a 95 1.5 gen which to me is the best one to buy because it’s the first gen look with the second gen interior w 65k miles SUPER CLEAN no rust in bought it for literally a steal in I basically restored it n now plan on doing a ecoboost swap lol . Might repaint in get her undercoated or get it wrap n throw some 17s or 18s on her lol I love driving it every now n then because it’s so odd compared to everything else lol in a lot of people ask n me do I want to sell her lol . If the ecoboost swap really go successful I’ll sell but now as original as it is not now lol.

Also mine was a one owner too n One thing to watch out for is oil these 1.9s burn oil like a v8 drink gas lol the valves will get gunky n will stick. Keep synthetic n marvels mystery oil on your side in I’m pretty sure it’ll last another 10+ years lol

This shows that even a cheap car like a Saturn can last forever if treated properly

The automatic transmissions are abysmal but the rest of the car itself is a good unit. Cheap and easy to work on. I have a 95 SL1 with the single cam.
