First and most important is I am so happy that Meg is improving. Second, once again at various points you absolutely cracked me up laughing. You have a talent for inserting humor at just the right moment. Thank you brother Kenny and keep wrenching while I keep watching.

My heart goes out to you, Kenny. It's never easy crawling underneath a vehicle working on your back. The older you get the tougher it gets. Usually takes me 2 days to recover. Brenda?

Your one to the few mechanic experts on the tube teaching as well as admitting not knowing everything (and not giving us political opinions and making banal comments about things they really don't have any clue about). Please keep with the instructions and the lectures as those of us wrenching at home a following along and taking notes for our vehicles.

Doing that now. Getting a BTRE 4SPD out from under an Australian Ford Falcon. Impossible to remove engine and trans together. Jack stands, blocks of wood and a wooden board. Detach trans onto blocks. Remove one block at a time until trans sits on the board. Remove Engine. Use Hoist to lift front of vehicle. Slide trans out on board (don't get under vehicle!!) . Lotsa Fun for the 50yos mate. ❤

It's really coming along now. Strapping the tranny to the tire was a good idea. Back in the day you could pull the tranny with the engine, dang near impossible today. I am so glad that your wife is doing better. I'm sure your work and the projects you do help keep it from preying on your mind constantly. I will still keep you guys in my prayers. Nice video

I've got a '96 Z28 6-speed manual. I use a trans jack to pull my T56. If you are on a flat concrete floor that will make pulling it go so much easier. Before unbolting, chain the trans to the jack with the supplied chain. You'll be able to keep your upper and lower gaps even between the trans and bellhousing with the trans jack plate adjustments.....no joke, it will pull out with virtually no pressure.

Hey Kenny. I’d leave the radiator as designed. A lot of engineering went into making the engine cool in that body configuration. As long as you keep the air deflectors in place it will cool your LS fine. Standing it up straight (unless you poke a bunch of holes in the bumper) will do nothing but hurt cooling. My .02.

It’s not fun. But the payoff is worth it. I swapped my 06 GTO from a T56 to a 4L60e. Then after a few of those broke, I fitted a 4L80e. No lift. No transmission jack. 😅

Kenny, the ratio of the differential is marked on the forward end of the pinion. It will have two numbers, 10 41,or 9 37, which are the pinion and ring gear tooth counts, giving you the ratio. Virtually all OEM and aftermarket gearsets are marked like this.

There is no easy way to lay under a vehicle and work on it….it makes for terrible back aches. I always end up fumbling something and it falls and hits me in the head…when I was 17 it was a little different.

I'm up for the medium length videos. Some of ur earlier ones were too short or cut off important parts but some of these latest ones were kinda too long. I know it seems u have a lot of viewers that are noobs and don't know basic mechanic stuff. You do have good tips and I like ur diagnostic videos though.
