Cool video! Regarding the radio, CrO2 is the element symbol for chromium dioxide and has nothing to do with tape speed. Higher quality cassettes have chromium dioxide tape inside compared to the standard ferro oxide most had. CrO2 tapes have a better fidelity with much more prominent high frequency response which could cause playback to sound too bright if not properly tuned, so this button allowed the radio to EQ the audio system when playing these tapes to optimize the sound and fidelity when playing them back.
