It’s truly a beautiful truck. I a 94 4x4 extended cab and they don’t have the airbags. The truck had belonged to my son in law and runs like a babydoll. Mine originally had leather interior but I am changing it out to velour. Wish mine looked as sweet as yours though!!!

The sound of "loose change" is probably bad swaybar links. When I got my 2012 Silverado SWB all the bushings on my swaybar links were gone, 15 ish bucks on Amazon and about 20 mins of work and the problem was fixed!

I keep seeing that darn white GMT800 in the background at the neighboring building, its the sort of thing that sticks out to me. Window louvers, tail light covers, cheesy stick on running boards, the whole 9 yards. But man that gmt400 is CLEAN. way too clean for me though. Best interior is the 88-89 Interior with the power windows and bucket seats, SINGLE CAB only

This bodystyle is the best of the chevy trucks in my opinion. My neighbor has a 97 Tahoe with that same powertrain and everything and it's got 339,000 miles on it currently and still runs like it's new. I do agree with you about the interior though, I love the older dash better.

100% agree on being the last well built gm trucks . I have the next generation 2000 gmc sierra that i thought was in mint condition when i bought it . I was wrong frame had a thin spot behind fuel tank , i ended up spending $12k doing frame swap, rear axle swap,transfer case,main wiring harness,stainless brake lines ,shocks ,all new brakes and backing plates and rear e cable

Beautiful truck. Considering how the market has gone, I'm probably going to end up just fixing the transmission in my old 95 5.2 v8 dodge ram -vs- getting something else. In the past year, vehicle prices as a whole around me have easily doubled/tripled. You used to be able to find a driving beater for $1000 here, $1500-2000 got reliable daily drivers, anything above $2000 started getting nice stuff. Really really really kicking myself for not getting one of the nice running and driving extended cab 90s chevy trucks for not much in years prior. Never thought my truck would be stolen though... and the people burnt the transmission up in it. I sabotage several major systems when it's sitting parked now, good luck to any idiots trying to steal it now. I used to think my truck was high mileage until I saw the sky high mileage stuff people are selling for high prices now.
@southernfarmtech2 жыл бұрын
Nice truck. It is still hard for me to come to terms with the fact that these are old, because I still remember them new. Just a sign I'm getting old I guess!. I think 87-94 was a tighter interior....had a 93 Silverado and after 20+ years not a creak or rattle. In 95 the change brought more hard plastics and a cheaper feel. It looked OK but was still a sign of cost cutting and just wasn't as good. But these were awesome machines...a far cry from what we have today. I would rather have this 95 you have right here than a new Silverado, no lie. Everything today is designed to get you to 100k then throw it away and get a new one.

Yeah prices are crazy. I get it. I bought my 94 extra cab 4x4 in 2006 for $7500. I thought I paid too much back then. One owner, and It had 72,000 original miles. Silverado, 350 5 speed with the NV 4500. That was at a Chevy dealer.

Yeah I don't think I'll sell my 95 GMC. It's just two wheel drive but it's extendedcab with a dual exhaust pipes coming straight out the back. Only paid $1,000 for it and 2017 and it's just a roll over the other day to 263,000 mi, oh when I got it it just did have 203000 on it. The only major thing I've done to my truck is put a transmission in it although now the intake gasket on the front driver side where they alway leak from is leaking.

Happy New Year Jay and family! Hope you show us after paint work! I watch other KZbinrs in scrap yards crushing nice clean old trucks that need work.....If someone could transport them to the Northeast on a large scale to rebuild...there is money to be made. I like the old school interiors better in the 88-94s and the rainbow gauges, but I don't mind the old dash layout with the needle gauges. I'm okay with the new interior 95-98s, but it reminds me too much of the early 2000s Chevy Trucks. I like these years overall regardless. The TBI and the Vortec model 350 are both great. If I was worried about gas mileage, I'd go with the 350 Vortec, but it's a truck in the end of the day. MPGs isn't something to worry about if it's dependable/reliable and the TBI motors can be decent on gas too with nothing wrong and if you aren't constantly speeding everywhere lol. Just my opinion on that. Great body style!
@trickyricky121472 жыл бұрын
I think you can find an oddball GM truck from early 1995 with the old interior and the Vortec 350. I could be wrong. That would be something! But again, it don't matter to me I like this generation anyhow.

I actually used to sell Chevrolet trucks back in '94-95 and I can tell you that new interior was long overdue. It is light years ahead of the 94 and previous years. I can't tell you how many customers I sold those trucks to who complimented the new interior and is partly why they bought the truck. The body style is by far the best, in my opinion. I currently have a 2012 and I would rather have that 95 just based on the body style. LoL

Its a nice rig alright. Friend of mine just inherited a same year two wheel drive from around disneyland in california all its life and garaged with just barely the hundred thousand mark on it. He is trying to get it back to alaska now. He had to fly from here to california for will reading an such and so now figures he is in to the rig for three thousand with the title change and licence. He still has to go back down and pick it up cause he didn't have the time to drive it back then. he should have close to six in it time he gets home with it and to me, a bit much except it was his dads truck. For the cost of gas, lose at least three tires coming up here, I would just get a container and ship it to anchorage. A real nice including finish with all the bells and whistles.. 26 year old truck is probably going to be worth it to him but for me, I would advertise it and sell it for as much as possible. Thats me. A all white truck with perfect interior and finish should get around nine on the high side for a two wheel drive there. Here it would be half as four wheel or no wheel drive for our winters. Yeah, you are do for more subs Jay as I doubt you make a grand a month on youtube right now but its money every month.
