1995 Chevy C1500 AC Bypass

For those that do not know, I own an1995 Chevy Silverado C1500 with an extended cab, and I just did an AC Bypass Switch Temporary fix in order to get cold air. Prior to this my AC Compressor Clutch would not engage, so the AC would not blow cold air.
So I haven't had AC in my truck since I bought it, and decided to work with a couple buddies to get it working. We did a bypass by the relay in order to have power be applied to the Compressor when I hit the switch for my cubelights.
The AC Unit in the truck would turn on and blow air, but i learned the AC Compressor would not engage, and in turn not allow the truck to blow cold air. so the AC Compressor would not allow the Air Conditioning to put cold air in the cab, which I recharged the system, and did this by pass. now the Compressor engages, and I get cooler air.
It still does not get super cold, so I'll have to recharge the system again.
So if your AC Compressor Clutch won't engage and allow your AC to blow cold air into the cab, then try this bypass, and temporary fix with your truck, to give you time until you get the chance to get the issue fixed.
Be careful to not lock up your AC Compressor Clutch, and do remember to recharge your system if needed in order to get cold air.

Another tip is to add electric fan in front of radiator and ac condenser I noticed at stops and idling or drive thrus etc the ac wouldn't be as cold and engine temp raises a bit dc fan fixes this but soon may need to upgrade battery and alternator for extra draw especially if you have aftermarket audio led lighting etc OBS For Life in 909 So Cal

Yes I have the same truck Chevy K 2500 with the same exact heat and AC control switch AC switch does not work just like yours will you have shown me what you did to get it to work so now I can do the same exact system that you did to make the AC compressor work thank you for your video

I turned my ac on "hi" couple days ago and the blower turned off but looks new. Compressor turns on relay is good. Could it be that the blower gave out?

My apologies for delay in response on this comment. I believe I had a similar issue in my truck for a while, and had found there was a fuse for the high if I remember correctly, because my truck was missing it, and once I put one in the high came back and worked properly.

Do you leave your ac compressor on at all times while using it?

I have it wired into a switch, so I can turn the compressor on and off as I feel a need to have it run if I need it to cool down. Otherwise I just let the air blow through

thats how i got my ac rolling i replaced everthing and ac still about just 60 degreas i want it to do 40

Yeah, mine isn't getting super cold at the moment, but was able to bypass through the relay since the relay wasn't getting power. I've tried recharging my system and it seemed to help get it colder but may need to recharge it some more to get it nice and chilly.

I'm no longer in Texas, though I did use to live out in Texas. Was originally in the DFW area when I lived out there though
