I hope you enjoyed driving my old Caravan! This poor thing has been mostly kept alive out of spite... We've put in a ton of time doing the head gaskets, timing service, replacing a cracked valve, the rear leaf springs and shackle bolts (this is a horrible job), brake lines, and so forth. The goal is to eventually get the rust patch panels for it to fix those holes and give it a harlequin paint job so it looks extra fancy.

Have fun with this thing. It's unique enough as is being so old. Most dodges of this era are long gone

I prefer a simple two-tone paint job, but whatever you want works for you, I guess. Whichever way it goes, we'd like to see it when you're done.

I bought a 1993 Caravan (new) and it was bare bones - just A/C. It had the 2.5 inline 4, and that thing served our family well, especially for a 25 year old father of 2. I can afford a lot more vehicle now, but frankly, it would all be for show - that Caravan did the thing you need - carry people and stuff comfortably. I have very fond memories of it. Thanks for reviewing one.

This one really hits home with me as well. As a kid, my Parents bought a white 1991 Dodge Grand Caravan LE brand new off the lot. It was our first new car. So exciting for us. I got the middle bench and my brother got the rear bench. Tons of room for all of us.

When I was 7 years old back in 2000, my friend's mom had a white '95 Grand Caravan Sport with a high rooftop. As a 7 year old, I used to look at that van as if it was a spaceship. I thought the van was pretty cool and I wished my parents had one of those. Here we are 24 years later in 2024. I'm 31 now and I'm pretty sure that van is long gone.

I know I'm late to the party but I gotta say, everything you said regarding nostalgic vans and memories is what I experienced growing up in a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager, the only new car my family every bought (everything before and after has been used, even these days). Following that van was a 2001 Honda Odyssey that we got around 2006 or 7 I believe... Good memories despite the breakdowns! That Plymouth tore through a transmission and our Honda was souped up to tow a small camper trailer but after 8 years or so of that its radiator blew. We only held onto that for a few months after the repair.

I already own an 02 Spruce Green Crown Victoria LX HPP P74, and a 00 Chevy CK/3500 2wd with the 5.7. both pretty rare vehicles. Oh yeah around here in Massachusetts where we live we used to see a lot of caravans and crown VICS back in the 90s and 2000s in fact when I think of cars in the big city such as on the East Coast such as Boston or New York first things that come to mind are for Crown, Victoria Mercury, grand Marquis Dodge Caravan. Also when I think of taxi cabs the first two cars that come to mine when I think of taxis or Ford crown, Victoria Dodge Caravan.

I still have and drive a 1993 Dodge Caravan ES with Chrysler 3.3L V6 (with the timing chain!). Zero rust, but the hood and roof essentially have no paint left (down to the gray primer!) It has been through three A604 transmissions, but other than that, runs great after 439,000. The ES has the crazy and complex Bendix 10 ABS brake system, which can be troublesome when it wants to be, with brake boost dropout being random. The overhead controls for the rear side 'vent' windows are a nice feature for air flow. It's a really nice vehicle to drive, with nice seating position and good visibility.

This one has a back up beeper on it, so which means it was possibly a taxi or did some transportation duties it was possibly a shuttle because whenever I hear back up beepers on those types of cars, I think of them as taxis or shuttles or school buses
