Nice truck... I have a 96 but a XL but she has a cool option of buckets and console.

Have you seen that color combo before I’m intrigued to know how many were made but yeah trucks like that are hard to come by specially in that condition.
@northforksfords8665Ай бұрын
@@BoostedFL maybe 1 or 2 in that combo. Mines a solid light brown. ✌️

That obs is sweet! Unique I special ordered my 97 f250hd 7.3 supercab 4x4 longbed through fords fleet department because in 97 there was no eddie bauer package. And if you ordered xlt with E4 bright red paint, your interior color choices were grey or pimpin red. Through ford fleet dept i was able to get medium mocha captains chairs with the center console. I also got 3:55 limited slip differentials front and rear with manual hubs and manual shift transfer case. Wish i could find out how many were built like mine with my color combo and fleet options.

That is awesome to know thanks for taking the time to comment do You still have yours ? I love to appreciate how well this truck stand out against newer trucks the way they sound and feel is outstanding compared to the new stuff . I like the new stuff coming out now don’t like to talk crap but I feel like in those times workers built with pride and time have shown how long this trucks last if you just do simple maintenance to them . I would love to own one and keep it for a long time working my way to it
@RockyRaccoon3281Ай бұрын
@BoostedFL i do still have it, and it's in great shape. It runs like new. No smoke. Not as pretty as the one in your video but very well maintained with a little bit of rust above the bed wheel wells and a little flaky clearcoat on the hood & roof. Babied most of its life, too, and basically not modified or chipped. The engine is clean with no leaks. I did swap out the twin traction beam dana 50 front axle for a same year completely rebuilt limited slip dana 60 straight axle from an f350. Mostly for better alignment. That was the best single thing I ever did. It drastically improved my ride quality, handling, turning radius, and overall driving enjoyment. And that is without the reverse shackle kit and the longer superduty leaf spring upgrade. I also replaced all the front-end steering components as well as a new redhead steering gear, power steering pump, and lines with the axle upgrade. I've been slowly refurbishing since 2020. Replacing complete systems instead of just a defective part. Like my brake system is completely new from the vacuum booster to the pads, including new stainless lines and braided hoses. Completely new air conditioning system. Painted the frame with mastercoat (great product). I can list stuff for days. I'm sure you understand. Seems like every few days someone wants to buy it or talk about it. It's definitely not for sale. Couldn't give me $100k. Yes, the new trucks have double the power and triple the cost for parts & repairs. The old 7.3 is perfect for me. Plenty of power. Easy to work on. No def emissions crap! It just wants to run, and it sounds great. My daily driver. I like the look of all the old and modern American trucks, but this obs body style and stance is my favorite. I would like to believe the workers still take pride. I think it's the engineering side that's the biggest problem today. But their hands are somewhat tied too, trying to keep costs down, and the dang EPA mandates. These were some of the best trucks ever made. I keep wanting to make and post videos of it, but I don't have much editing experience. I do have some video and hundreds of pictures of the refurbishing process so far. Best of luck to you on your search for one, my friend.

Amazing condition of a truck. bummer its not a 4x4. You can get a E40D from a 7.3 with a transfer case as well as the from TTB 4x4 suspension of an f150 and it will bolt right up. Be carful with that lift on the 2wd, it will rattle itself apart eventually and fuck up your frame
