If you were a Husker fan near my generation, if you lived through the Oklahoma Jinx and the '84 Orange Bowl, this was such a cathartic win by the entire squad. Slugging it downfield for four quarters, working so hard to on both sides of the ball, that fourth quarter felt so good. Bravo to the team.

This was a fun game to watch and Nebraska simply wore Miami down in the forth quarter with better conditioning. I always thought if the game would have been played any place else Nebraska would have beaten Miami handily.

This is how you handle a bully. Bash them in the mouth. Miami blinked and got run over.

The huskers were not bullies they just lined up and ran over people and went on about there business. Miami was late as far as when they started beating front runners but they had bad attitudes and had a chip on their shoulders Nebraska knocked that chip off for them though and I loved it because Nebraska was good for a long time but this team was not good they were great I think they were quite possibly the greatest team ever in collegiate football

arronnov they were undisciplined got stupid penalties and that’s why they didn’t win more Nebraska teams didn’t do all that dumb shit they had discipline even when losing but when things don’t go certain Miami’s way they start doing things that get better them penalized but they did get more disciplined after the 90’s

arronnov they could have won more is what I was getting at Nebraska should not have beat them they gave that game away I know they won but could have been more it dead then matter anymore neither team is very good anymore and that’s just a shame I think college football was better and more fun with a cocky Miami team and a Nebraska that were both running through teams like they weren’t even on the field with them

I think it's comical how Paterno and company whined about not going to the national championship because of their obligation to the Rose Bowl and how they may have beat Nebraska this year. I've researched the statistics and I believe Penn State would have been beat handily by Miami. Miami was the better team between Penn State on this year. Great game, amazing dynasty, wish we could do this again soon.

Penn State's defense wasn't very good that year, they were just outscoring people. If they had played Nebraska, it would have been just like the Florida game the next year. An all-offense team like that couldn't stand up to the Huskers of this era. Colorado and Florida in '95, Tennessee in '97...Nebraska just killed them.

Also after they robbed Nebraska of the NC in 82 they didn’t deserve a share

I don't know why you would make that comment Brook won most of the games that season when Tommy was out. Brook got the motor started with TD. If Tommy had been left in he couldn't have made the critical 4 th Q runs for 1st downs he did. Great team effort and everybody's strenths.

No, Miami was on fumes. With his own recruits, Miami was a shell. The two previous bowls. AL 34, Miami 13, AZ 29, Miami 0. Miami never crossed AZ's 40 yd line.

Miami was a team with a bigger collection of Strutting Peacocks than an Australian Zoo!! Anything and everything a critic could point to as TOXIC in College Football. No Sporting Spectacle could be more gratifying than watching these Peacocks have their "Feathers Plucked" in front of the entire world. That "Industrial Strength Ass Whuppin" couldn't happen to a more deserving band of thugs. What Nebraska did to Miami in the Final Quarter brings to mind a scene in the Film "Harlem Nights." Before the Championship Fight, the Champ bumps gloves with the Challenger and Stutters, "Ddddontt take this Ass Whuppin Pppperssonal!!" If you view the final segment of this game, Nebraska is so dominant they could have won by Three Touchdowns. To put that into context, Miami had every advantage with their home crowd. Just as they had in every previous encounter with the Cornhuskers. One Nebraska player observed that they would have loved to see the Canes play in Lincoln in January. That would have ended their Big Game woes in a hurry!! That Nebraska team proved itself a "Team For The Ages" by showing they could win in any possible environment. Had the Canes been truly great they would have Played a " Home and Away" match with the Huskers. Instead of "Home Cooking" in every encounter. Tom Osbornes final five seasons at Nebraska were the greatest Swan Song in College Football History. That Glorious Run began when they took a team whose own WIND exceeded their Nickname and Silenced them like a Mouse in a Trap.

 @Donald Schmidt Look for Rob Johnson's posts. He will flatten most of what you said with facts. In one of his, probably, hundred of stats, he exposes the home team advantage myth. Like Neb lost to OU and Clemson at the Orange. Who knew that Clem and OU called Miami home. Or if the home advantage is 3 to 7 points what happened in the 22-0 and 22-3 blowout losses. FSU is 500 miles from Miami. Calling Miami a home game for FSU would be a stretch. Draw a 480 mile circle around circle around Lincoln, are those Neb fans. Blah, blah. See him expose the 60-3 Skip Along.

@arronnov Yeah this team was dirty and undisciplined I didn't say every Miami team was that way so shut that shit up unless you are blind and deaf you can rewatch the game and see where being undisciplined and taking cheap shots cost them stop being so sensitive to the truth because I will tell you the next generation of hurricanes that came through Miami where better than the ones in this video as a team but would not have been such a powerhouse if they had followed this bad example...oh yeah btw I watch football unbiased even when the teams I'm wanting to win don't get calls there way or make stupid decisions I don't try to pretend that it didn't happen watch it again and if you don't see what I'm talking about please proceed to pull your head out of your ass then watch it again Did you ever play football at all? Probably not and if so probably not well if the teams are matched physically after that composure and knowledge win

@arronnov One more thing this Nebraska team would beat any team Miami has ever fielded Everyone knew what was coming now stop the big red machine or ran over it was that simple and this team perfected it well maybe the next years team was a little better but Miami got smoked by Danny and Nebraska proceeded to show them who should have won the heisman trophy Tommie Frazier or then they beat Peyton MANNING'S vols like a drum so fuck you and your miami if you want to be a dick about it I was watching it subjectively and open mindedly The worst part of all this is both of these programs that were so great are jokes and has been to today's college football world and that is sad to see

@@Rock33b this team barely beat this Miami team which wasn't even close to a great team. To say this Nebraska team would beat any Miami team would not happen. Miami's 86,87,88,89,91,92,2000,2001 and 2002 team were way better than the 94 hurricanes
@Rock33b
@Rock33b 4 жыл бұрын
sable mae one or two might have beat them maybe but none would beat the next Nebraska national champion I’m sure you will not agree but neither of those teams really got challenged Miami did control most of this game and should have won but holding penalties and offensive pass interference penalties killed the momentum several times
