Thanks guys, that's helpful. I needed to see how the cover comes off. Working on an even older European trans sport. Keep the Pontiac van legacy alive dudes!

I’m so glad this video has been a blessing to so many people, PS: it Took a lot of time and a lot of swearing to get that regulator out, lol

I just did mine on a similar 94 Lumina mini van. It was really simple. With the window up, duct tape the window to keep it up. I taped 3 sides and two strips over the top. Drill out the 5 rivets that hold the regulator, swing it down. You can then manipulate the wheel out of the horizontal window track. You can then maneuver the regulator unit out of the door. There is no need to butcher the wheel that rolls in the track when you raise and lower the window. No need to drill out two rivets on the end brace until later. Once the unit is out, you drill the smaller rivets that hold the regulator to the mechanism and use 10/32 screws to bolt the new regulator to the mechanism. I also drilled out both rivets that held the end bracket on the motor and transferred the bracket over to the new motor. Make sure the mechanism is in the same window up position after you assemble, if not use 12 volts to raise it up. Then install the mechanism back into the door by putting the wheel back in the track and then positioning the assembly so the holes where the rivets were, line up. Then install 5 1/4-20 screws with lock nuts where the rivets were. be sure you 1/4-20 screws are not longer than 1/2 inch or they might interfere. I had to use duct tape on one nut to hold it in the wrench while I screwed the screw in. The whole process took about 3 hours.

So yeah, we did all of this in a Motel 6 parking lot in Kansas City Missouri with a cordless drill, screwdriver, hammer and a few McChicken sandwiches 🤣🤣🤣😂

Great video! I am doing the same on my 94 Oldsmobile Silhouette.

About to do same on my 95 with 87k miles! Thanks for tips. Did you install with rivets or nuts and bolts? Did you do a video of the install?

Heyyy TC glad the video was able to help you, in all honesty my friend couldn’t afford to buy a new power window regulator because he’s a broke bitch and a waste of life, 😂 so we just rigged it to stay permanently up so the rain and cold Weather would stop pouring in!! But however to answer your question I would have use nuts and bolts to keep it up and no we did not do another video because we didn’t have the power window regulator, good luck to you my brother that car was a real bitch

@@RyanHollisterMiami thanks for the update. Call me weird but I love these vans. Have had at least one since 1992. The one I have now was in storage for 15 years, had only 75k miles on it when I bought it 2 years ago. Money is not an issue in my case. Have regulator, ordered correct rivets but may use nuts and bolts. Plan on keeping mine for some time. I want it fixed right. Everything else works on mine, even the a/c.

I’m a car guy myself that’s pretty impressive, yeah also even more unfortunately shortly after this video was posted my friend was pulled over by the cops and they found drugs in the Van and now it is sitting somewhere in a Kansas City impound lot and he never had enough money to get the van out

@@RyanHollisterMiami ouch, just now read your reply, sorry about your friend and the van. My repair went smooth after giving up trying to drill the original rivets out and instead used a small cut-offwheel held at 90 degrees. Cut down the river head like butter. Ended up installing new motor using short bolts. Window works like new again.

@@tcl8789 glad to hear you had a great outcome, I’ll tell my friend when he gets out of jail, LOL
