Roy Ackland and David Weatherly take you to the coast of North Carolina where you'll find the most beautiful and well kept lighthouses in the world. This special begins with the history of these lighthouses as told by historian Bruce Roberts. We then go to Currituck Lighthouse to learn about it's restoration and care by people like Debbie Westner, Currituck's Curator. Hear the history of Cape Hatteras lighthouse from, Rany Jennette, the son of it's last keeper and climb its steps with volunteers Audrey and John Cooper. Travel to Bodie Island lighthouse with photographer Bruce Roberts and see the handcrafted lighthouse models by woodturner Alan Perrine.
