Back in the 1980 Wigan were in the second division. Lindsay came along and was instrumental in turning them around into a successful club. Had the Super League come along then, and had the Chairman of the RFL had the same attitude as Lindsay has here, in 1980 Wigan would have had the door slammed in their faces and been told that they had to merge with St. Helens. How would Lindsay have reacted to that?
