I was at this race and was a new Rudd fan - Went to UAW500 in Charlotte 2 weeks before and picked Rudd for some reason. This race sealed the deal for me being huge fan for years, great seats highin Tiurn 1.. ended up see Rudd win twice more in person - both epic as well. Martinsville '98 his cooling system and he roasted in the car all day (and they poured scalding water down his burnt back in a pitstop - forgot to bleed the host). Victory lane interview done on his back with Oxygen, Other in person win 2001 Richmond.. epic battle with Harvick. So good to see this race again!

Buddy Baker, Eli Gold, Barney Hall, Allen Bestwick and I think Mike Bagley was the other were all the voices of my childhood. I remember vividly Sunday afternoons playing in the driveway/yard listening as my step-dad had MRN blaring from the garage. Man, I go back to those days often in my day dreams.

Doing some mid race comentation.. For all you that don't know back in the day people with those huge Satellite dishes could pick up the true feed, commercial free. So while commercials are going on you hear the announcers talking 'freely' about whats going on. Awesome.
