I remember in 93 when Doohan took out Schwantz at Donnington, almost cost Kevin the world title
@TrickyMario765411 ай бұрын
Obviously, he didn’t take Kevin out on purpose. It was just one of those things that can happen in racing.

@@TrickyMario7654 I agree 100%, the point I was trying to make was that even world champions make mistakes, Criville made a mistake in this race but nobody is immune to errors in judgement 😎
@TrickyMario765411 ай бұрын
@@Keefy79 Correct. Even the likes of Schwantz and Rainey have made them over the years. Sadly, one of the mistakes the latter rider made ended up leaving him paralysed for the rest of his life.

Loris Capirossi: doing a Steven Bradbury before Steven Bradbury himself did

Sums up his win perfectly. Still, Capirossi was there to pick up the pieces from Doohan and Creville’s misfortune.

Criville should still be giving himself uppercuts for that .. moaning about it like it was Mick’s fault, when he should be apologising .. what a ferking goose.

Damn... Doohan came along at the PERFECT time!! Had he been there a decade earlier...he wouldn't have anything!! Course, the mid to late 80's, and very early 90's, was the toughest time EVER in Moto GP... Rainey, Schwantz, Gardner, Lawson, Sarron, McKenzie, Doohan, Chilli, the list goes on... BRUTAL....
@fearme463 жыл бұрын
What do you mean he wouldn’t have anything? Are you serious?

Mckenzie? Chilli????
@rapid133 жыл бұрын
Mick was on par with Rainey and Schwantz and probably would have won the 92 title if he hadn't gotten hurt. No way he wins 5 in a row against all those guys, but I doubt that he goes winless either.

What a totally ridiculous comment. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Are you a pommey,by any chance?
@truthseeker6649 Жыл бұрын
in 1992 before his horrible crash that almost got his leg amputated, doohan won 5 series while schwantz & rainey only got 1 each. he also raced against lawson and gardner that year. sarron, mckenzie and chilli was never top riders. he's almost unstoppable with the big bang machine in 1992. if it wasn't for that crash, he could have won 7 titles in a row, while rainey only got 2 and schwantz zero.

Abe is very funny, he looks at the handlebars and goes I can't ride that anymore, throws his hands up in the air and decides to have a gatorade in the pits lol, bazza sheene and Darryl eastlake or hilarious and awesome to hear 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

How Mick didn't beat Criville to death with his own helmet is beyond me. It was such a dickhead move - it had less than no hope of succeeding.
@TrickyMario765410 ай бұрын
It was never gonna work. I guess Criville didn’t learn from Mick’s own dumb mistake at Donnington Park in 1993, where he wiped out Schwantz and Barros.

Criville destroys Mick´s title celebrations at his home Grand Prix. So cute from team mate.... And why? What was the point? Championship was decided long time ago and Doohan deserve the win on his home GP leading Start to Finnish. To shot him three corner to the end was most stupid what Criville did in his whole career.

My pleasure. Doohan clearly wants to deck Criville for the latter's utterly selfish move, but (just) manages to restrain himself.
@Jesus_Hill4 жыл бұрын
It had to do with 50:22. Doohan did that on purpose, it was not he made a mistake at braking: he realised Crivillé was going to overtake him running the outside, so he decided to change his line, leaving no room (illegal) for Crivillé and hitting his bike (he had the advantage in case of contact, as he was coming from the inside). That's why Crivillé was out of his mind, not saying that what he end up doing was right, but there was a reason for it, Doohan's action a few corners before was almost as dirty, don't act as if nothing happened before the strike. And I'm not too impressed about Doohan arguing in english with someone not used to speak it.
@Jesus_Hill4 жыл бұрын
@Reg Johnson Take a look at the rest of the laps, he just changed the line, went wide without a braking mistake, so that Crivillé couldn't overtake him. It wasn't either about getting out the corner faster. Yeah, Crivillé could speak both, but that's not the point, he wasn't good at english and it's difficult to argue with someone whose first language is english. Nobody's fault, it's just the argument proved nothing in that condition. Again, not saying that the crash wasn't Crivillé's fault (it was), not even saying he was a better rider than Doohan (he wasn't), but Doohan was no angel that day.

@TrickyMario765411 ай бұрын
You can thank his injuries from the crash he had at Assen in 1992 for the riding style he came to adopt.
@djkarashi858 күн бұрын
he's not riding a moto GP bike that you can hold the throttle wide open mid corner with Aids out the wazoo ,with no problem. A very defensive style to counteract a 2 stroke high side. - why you barely ever see a doohan highside. Same with Abe. Not sure why you consider it "ugly". But I've never seen Peter Gerritsen on any GP grids.....
