Brings back memories, I bought one of these brand new in June of 1996. Mine was exactly like this one except mine came with both the tinted plexiglass top and the silver top. I owned mine for 10 years before selling it. This was one fun car to take to the mountains, especially on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina!!

They did not go out of style. It was European crash standards that made them obsolete. The next time you look at a new car and see a blocky, square, face you'll understand it is to save pedestrians in the event of an accident. Flat is better than sharp.

@@tmmurphy yes,quite ironic considering that pedestrian fatalities have doubled in the last 10 to 15 years. The tradeoff is that the blocky designs, the large A and C pillars, and the restricted outward visibility have made you more likely to hit a pedestrian. In addition the advent of driver distracting telematics have turned driver attention from the road. Throw it in the woods.
