25 years ago, South Africa achieved not only a notable moment in its sporting history, but also provided what could be one of the two greatest moments in Africa’s sporting history as an entire continent, The other being the 1995 rugby World Cup that South Africa also won.

Amid watching the semifinals of the 2013 Champions League of Clubs that opposed Orlando Pirates in Southafrica to Esperance of Tunisia, the conclusion i drew is that Southafrica has got a unique good soccer generation ,that of 1996 of coach Clive Barker ,ARENDSE,MOSHOEU,TINKLER,TOVEY,LUCAS RADEBE,MARK WILLIAMS,KHUMALO,MASINGA.Then,Kaiser Chiefs was beaten in lManzah Tunis 4-0 and today the disappointing Orlando Pirates all what they could do is to shoot from 35 meters vs Esperance. of Tunis

Tunisia was the first African and Arab country to win a game in the world cup. And we were the first Maghrebin country to be part of the African cup, 10 years earlier than Morocco and a few years earlier than Algeria. Egypt played in the world cup in the 30s, so its not Morocco who were the first in the world cup. Maybe I got something wrong or misunderstood something. If that's the case, feel free to correct me.

@@ClubisteMot quite true Egypt was the first African team to ever take part in a World Cup but not the first African and Arab team to ever qualify for a World Cup as Egypt were invited by FIFA in the 1930s without Egypt having a playful Achievement or qualification against other African football teams was required to participate in the 1934 World Cup, but Morocco was the first African and Arab team in 1970 to qualify for the World Cup on their own by beating other African teams. There is a difference between a team that has been invited and a team that has secured and qualified for the World Cup on its own, it can be concluded that Egypt was the first African and Arabic team ever to compete was present at a World Cup but was not the first African and Arab national team to qualify on their own that is Morocco to be fair, and Morocco are the first African and Arab team to score at least one point at a World Cup in 1970 against Bulgaria and also the first African and Arab national team to progress through the group stage of a World Cup and reach the round of 16, even as unbeaten leaders in a dead group with teams like Poland, Portugal and England , one must also not forget that Morocco is the first maghreb country to win an african football championship 28 years ahead of tunisia and 14 years ahead of the algerians,
