Unless its a single pin crank which honda has made and was evem sued by harley for making but ultimately lost because single pin cranks are common. How ever if its a duel pin than yeah you dont want to have the idle that low.

That looks beautiful. Well done. What kind of tires are those? Also, are bobber bikes always a custom concept, or are there brands that make them from factory?
@jcurtiscustomsАй бұрын
Not sure on the tires. They were on it when I bought the original. There are some brands that make something close to a bobber. Triumph has their Bonneville Bobber, Harley's closest is probably a sportster, Indian Scout and so on. They aren't this style though.

Amazing work man! Quick question, im 6,3 do you think i can ride smooth on this? I just want a buy a 05 vlx so i have that doubt about my height
@jcurtiscustoms21 күн бұрын
I am also 6'3, so yes, you will fit just fine ha! The forward controls make it more comfortable than other cruisers IMO. My only complaint was there is a little lack of power with the 600 if you do a lot of highway riding. Cruises at 70 no problem, but much over that starts to over rev. It was awesome around town though.

@jcurtiscustoms6 күн бұрын
Thanks! I am 6'3" and the height was never an issue. Granted, I did move the seat back a little when I was building it. That said, the bobber style bike is never really going to be great for long rides due to the seat. This one has more cushioning than most, but after an hour, it's still a bit rough.

That sucks. Luckily most things on motorcycles are easily salvaged / repaired as long as they aren't too rusted out. Carbs can be cleaned, shocks rebuilt, etc. Usually as long as the motor is good and the frame isn't destroyed, you can make something decent out of it.

@@oof578 Honestly, for the 96 VLX that this was built on, the controls were very comfortably far forward, but that could be because I moved the seat back haha.
