And the same here in Maryland .Baseball is kimg, football.is fine, but baseballl is our love. The games been changedbfor the worse. AL and NL do not exist, playoffs are too long. But Orioles we love, what a fun year this year was, as was every yearin 80s 90a. Last dwcade was fun too. Nice to see a happy game for Orioles and Indians. This Guardians crap is as bad as what they did to.the Jake. LED lights, ugly bars in right field. Nets.... oh well.. hope cle does well. Thwy were fun to play. 😀😀 We love Reghi inBaltimore and miss him.

As a Yankee fan lifelong that knows they dealt with the Orioles in the mid-late 90s rivalry and 96 ALCS. The 97 Orioles were too good. They win this game, they win game 7. Orioles had 16 baserunners in this game, and did not score a run, so it wasnt like Cleveland's pitching was pitching a gem against them. Orioles had at least one runner in scoring position in the first 5 innings and NOTHING. Orioles had a runner in scoring position in the 7th and 8th innings, and NOTHING. Those innings were BRUTAL Orioles had a runner on firstbase in the 9th inning, 10th innings, and 11th innings, and NOTHING Orioles had runners on base every inning except the 6th inning and NOTHING Anywho, this was the greatest ALCS to not go 7 games. I thought they were going to give the ALCS MVP to Mussina, but I guess they dont give it to a player on the losing team anymore. And had Grissom caught the ball on game 3 in the 9th inning, Mesa was going to be the MVP. Im still surprised Grisson won it, considering that asides from that game 2 home run, which was very clutch, he didnt hit at all. And also Grissom had that dropped fly ball in the 9th innning of game 3, but I guess he made up for it with his game winning steal of home in game 3. And gosh, I would have been fine if the players who hit the clutch homers against the Orioles were Manny, Thome, Matt Williams, David Justice, Sandy Alomar. But Tony Fernandez and Marquis Grissom???? Come on; I know they both got pop, but still. And yes, that looked like a strike by Mesa to Roberto Alomar, even if Sandy Alomar caught it weirdly.

@@jpcote7003 The Indians literally had the 4th best record in the AL behind the O's, Yankee's, and Mariner's. They wouldn't even have been in playoffs if it wasn't for division winners and the realignment of divisions. And this was the Oriole's wire-to-wire season, never leaving 1st place for the whole year. O's pitching staff blew the Indian's staff away, 4 double digit winners. Indians best starting ERA was Nagy at 4.28, that's terrible. However, the Indian's did have way more power and 3 hitters with 100+ RBI. An offensive team like that wins 86 games all-year because of a mediocre pitching staff. Cleveland was lucky that Nagy pulled a shutout out of his butt on that game-6.
