Fullana was known to skip rounds as she did not like to fly on planes. She & Pezzo were amazing. Was not surprised when the two squared off at the 2000 olympics.

Yes it was a paradigm shift in the World of XC Mountain Bike racing! Doesn't seem that long ago..

All the epo'd and juiced up roadies crossed over into Mountain Biking because big money started to be involved. They ruined the sport. Up to that point it always had a very friendly layed back good natured atmosphere about it. That's why it was the golden age of the sport in the early 90's.
