Sounds pretty good. It’s actually quieter than I thought it would be. It seems the x pipes act as a muffler themselves. The actual mufflers quieted it down a loud. I like the setup, I’d just personally want it a little louder but I like that it doesn’t pop like most of these trucks do (has to be my favorite thing about the setup).

Yep more x pipes the smoother the exhaust flow... does quiet it alot ...more tame exhaust ... especially on a stock engine ...

if you have no cats why the hell are you installing downstream O2s? and installing them after an x pipe is futile as well as they will be reading cross banks.

If you don’t add the down stream o2 they will have to be tuned out

Because it won’t run worth a fuck without them. Or a tune. And a tune requires sending the ECM to Blackbear, meaning the truck will be down for at least 2 weeks.

Next time lay the exhaust on a flat surface before welding, splatter spray helps alot so not much grinding

Reduce volume.... but the flow i would guess very little restriction ...would be nice to see a flow experiment to test flow

@@kenman903 how much more would the second x pipe reduce volume? More than running two bottle resonators? I installed my first x pipe and it really changed my setup a lot definitely reduced the volume and got rid of the clappiness.

Just to have fun lol hopeing for a different sound than every other truck like this... as far as gains definitely some... this is a stock engine so gains are minimal.... does seem to have alot more throttle response it definitely breathes better

Look up exhaust reversion waves 😂 and how a increase in exhaust pipe diameter like @ a collector and or a X pipe sends a negative pressure wave back towards the ex valve.

Not saying this sounds bad, but I just don't like stamped pipes on principle. Personally would've gone for Carven's X-pipes if I wanted Xs in my exhaust. I appreciate how you did a dual 3" into single 4" Y at the end. Most people get rid of Y-pipes because they falsely think they're restrictive on principle when, in fact, if you size the merge side correctly, it will flow the same as the duals it is collecting from. Typically a single 3.5 will flow the same as dual 2.5, and a single 4 will flow almost as much as dual 3s. Also, you don't really need dual 3s until over 500WHP, you're just losing exhaust velocity.

I’ve done similar things just experimenting for different sounds but come on welding with flip flops?? Also like someone else said it’s a waste to put downstream o2 sensors when they aren’t downstream of anything lol
