A special thanks goes out to MGM Resorts for de-theming and ruining every single fun, unique, and captivating thing they ever had in their resorts. Vegas' boring decline couldn't have happened without you.

Tis true. De-theaming a medieval castle is a great idea...lol

And that’s the unfortunate theme nowadays with Vegas. It’s nothing but soulless “modern contemporary” styles that cater to soulless modern millennials and to GenZ crowds that think nothing but sex and alcohol in their lives

Unfortunately the dragon is hidden behind the gate and it's there to rot The lagoon is completely dried out And Merlin is missing his head It's very unfortunate If they tried to repair them it would be amazing They both are such a beautiful animatronics Amazing works of art left to rot behind gate and locked door in the darkness

I saw that someone got in to record it. Can you go in there now?

Back in a time when casinos Cared about their guests and entertainment. Now, its all rooftop bars, DJs and $25 drink specials.

I've went to las vegas 1 year ago first time and we stayed at excalibur and I know it has been changed since there's no dragon shows like that before there's only merlin house

I saw a little bit a Videos on TikTok about it apparently the Dragon doesn’t have a head and is still behind the gate

@@MistStream_wcue_ The dragon is fully intact, just dusty. Merlin however is rumored to lack a head and is rotting

With technology today, there could be a magnificent dragon vs merlin battle.
@mikelarson71449 ай бұрын
Yeah, they could put out an impressive show with the latest technology but corporations are running the resort operations and I'm sure they wouldn't see the return on investment for this type of free show. Now with the Raiders and Golden Knights stadiums just a few blocks away, they have all the traffic they need.

Greetings! May I use this footage in a video I'm making about submerged animatronics? I will give your channel full credit.

That would be ok.

Someone said “scary” haha! Why did this end?
@mikelarson7144 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure it was due to the lack of awe factor. Most people would rather see the volcano at the Mirage or the fountains at the Bellagio. I thought it was kind of cool as a free attraction.

i wonder how it worked? were lines spoken at specific spots? was it all timed ? what's the worst thing to happen during a show?

Horrifying!! It belongs in a Don Bluth movie! 😂

It wasn't much of a show but it was something to do when you burned through your bankroll for the evening. To your point, it was shut down about 20 years ago so yeah, it wasn't great but for 1997, it wasn't the worst thing out there.
