I bought a similar car last year (1999 Saab 9-3 Convertible). Like you, I didn't really need it but I love it. Even during the winter I find myself using it instead of another car. They are fun!

I had a 2.3SE manual convertible in Yellow. Wonderful car, miss it so much. I have a 95 Est and a 2.0SE convertible now. You never forget your first Saab!

I agree, the trip computer function was on these as standard quite early on. My 97 mercedes e300 had nothing like it and that was an avantgarde trim. But we must remember the 9000 had pretty good trip computer right from the beginning in 85 or so even in the very base models with 'keep fit' windows. Thanks for the video, nice work!

I have one of these, same color, same year, turbo 900 SE. I am the original owner and I need to get a few door dings taken out and also have the leather colored to hide some cracking, but it's a great car and I'm glad I still have it. I remember when it was new, I felt like a movie star when I drove it with the top down. It's never been in an accident, and it's got 94K miles on it. I plan to keep it forever. Three more years and it'll be considered a classic! Love yours too. They only brought 100 of these into the US that year.

So, not a bad car. I have one in scarab green. 2.3 5 speed manual. Refurbed it during Covid last year (March to June 2020) looks and drives almost like new. Abbott brace on the rack, poly bushed lower arms, correct Viking wheels and a set of Michelin’s transformed the handling. It’s a picture.

Just a tip on how to more smoothly disarm the startlock before take off. Turn the key to the off mode where the radio switches on and press the lock button on the remote. The alarm LED lights up and switches off and you are clear for take off!

the black panel is by no means pointless if you live in scandinavia and youre driving on the dark rounds with no roadlights. it takes away alot of the disturbing cabin lights which makes night vision better!

the Vauxhall idea of mounting the steering rack to the bulkhead probable didn't help with the vibes.. The original 80's saab 900 was better in this respect - unfortunately they're quite expensive now. Otherwise I think these newer saabs are pretty good value.

It actually isn't - that was the advert for when I bought the car in November 2017, but for some reason the seller has never taken it down. I have however now sold the car on, and it lives in Scotland
