1997 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version III V-Limited Sports Wagon GF8 - Walkaround Inspection

In this video we take you for an in depth tour of a pretty special Subaru. Just arrived from Japan is this stunning Subaru Impreza WRX STI Version III V-Limited Sports Wagon in the iconic 555 Subaru Rally Team Blue. This is build number 289/555 which is rumoured to have been one of the final units produced with the production numbers only actually reaching 290. With only 58,000kms* this would have to be one of the lowest kms examples around.

I daily drive a 1997 subaru impreza outback sport which is basically a sad version of this car. I live in the rust belt so my rear wheel wells are rotting away aswell as underneath the car pretty bad. Seeing this car alive and well really makes me feel bad about the condition of mine. The salt belt hurts these cars so bad but they drive in it better than most cars on the road. Thanks for showing this beauty off to us. I wish mine looked as gorgeous as yours does 😢

Sad subie owner from Bavaria here. Roadsalt is no joke here aswell, totalling out cars at a Max. Age of 15 years. When you really care you get them up to 20 years, but more than that is basicly impossibile.... Doesnt matter wich Brand ore make, they just all Rott away underneath your ass

Beautiful Subaru! My daily driver is a 96 Legacy wagon. I love these mid 90s Subaru's, they sometimes take a lot to maintain them but it is worth it.

I also have one V-Limited 555 . Mine is 202/555 an currently being repaired from rust. Sadly not original like this one. I Heard that there were only 54-56 Sold as wagons and the others are RA and R models in the numbering. The wagon sold poorly and the left overs were painted in white and sold as regular STI's.
