This is a 2 part video documenting the Volvo story, the car I bought from Facebook Marketplace (blind) and had it delivered. I bought this car because my dad had one when I was a kid, and didn't want to see it go to the scrapper. After an expensive MOT it got a clean, then I sold it to Richard, who would go on to become a good friend of mine! The whole process of saving this Volvo and then meeting Richard and the journey to deliver it was awesome. It made a small profit, but the whole journey was well worth it in the end.
Geoff Buys Cars is an automotive adventure through old cars. I buy cars to review for KZbin, then sell them on. Sometimes I make a profit and document the journey, sometimes I give them away in £10 ‘Geoff Specials’. It started with a canoe and it’s taken every possible diversion, but i’ll get to that Porsche eventually… Right now I’m just enjoying all these old cars, it’s gotten to be a bit like Pokemon. I've had my 1997 Volvo 940 Classic CD 2.3LPT estate in regent red/maroon for 15 years. It's been the best car I've ever owned. So reliable and a tank that keeps on going, albeit a gearbox and turbo going 7 to 14 years ago.

As per my other comment, I'd have kept my 2.0 turbo wagon if I hadn't stumbled across the £250 850 TDi that's on this channel :)

Probably registered and first purchased at Kessells Penryn same as my 850 with DV on the number plate! Sweet looking old brick, love watching these videos and recognising everywhere!

I love a Volvo. I had a 960 limo with a couple of mates for a while. Got a 240 now that i've put a 330d engine in for a bit of fun.

Looks like a good honest and well loved and used Volvo 940, I always liked the 7 seater set up in these, but doesn't also have the built in child booster seat?

@6:15 Yes, cars in good condition with the desired specs fetch crazy prices. The only bargains left are cars in poor condition or in less desirable specs for those people with more money than brains.

A 1997 940? I’ve had a 94 945 and do have a 93 945 now. They quit making 940s in 1995.
