Boothferry Park creaked as a reported 14,000 people crammed in to witness a game between two form teams although both still candidates to be relegated to non league oblivion. A reported 14,000 as there appeared to be far many more as kick off was delayed to shoehorn another thousand or so into the ground. The game ebbed and flowed with City just shading the attacking momentum although Scarborough had their chances. Brabin's opener took the roof off although Hoyland's equaliser was deserved and both sides had further chances to win it. A draw did neither side much good although City's form was such to pull further away from 'Boro, Hartlepool and Carlisle. As for Scarborough, Jimmy Glass got involved and the rest is history...
