Shadow Films I wish Indycar would just slap the amount of horsepower these cars had into the cars we have today. In fact just bring back these cars with the proper safety adjustments.

@@hayden4597 From what I've heard the next generation of the indycar is supposed to have a more powerful engine than the current one (900+ horsepower) combine that with the current aero package and I thing it world be very close to the good old days. @@KimiMTZ17 it started at Zanardi's win at the 1997 Grand Prix of Long beach. CART officials didn't like it but fans loved it. He did it after all his wins during the 97 season and it became a staple from then on

It was already a tradition for rally winners, especially French national rallies. There's a video of Loubet doing them in an Alfa 75 in about 1988.

I remember watching this and thinking, "Greg...what was that?" Looking at this again 23 years later and I see he lost control when he almost hit his teammate, Patrick. The whole field just slowed super quick. It was like nobody wanted to make a pass.

Even though HDTV's weren't yet available is there a chance that any of these 90's CART races were recorded in HD. I've seen older films that have since been released in HD. Of course i'm assuming the film and tv world work similarily, though i'm sure that isn't the case.
@snakedoctor3134 жыл бұрын
They would have to be remastered to be in HD there was no HD recordings of CART IndyCar races in the 90's.
@maxpowers21684 жыл бұрын
Maybe ESPN have the masters recordeds in HQ (High Quality) but not in HD, some TV Shows were recorded in HD like "Friends" but I doubt they used HD cameras for sports events in the 90's. except for the Super Bowl, World Series, World Cup and the Olympics Games.

American open wheel racing created victory donuts only to be stolen by NASCAR just like they do everytime. Indycar/CART/IRL they innovated victory celebrations, NASCAR steals it
@peggygeren41692 жыл бұрын
Actually it was started in the 1980s by rally winners, but the NASCAR versions are clumsy, like a hippo on ice skates.
