1998 Camry Speedo odometer heat related failure

The speedo went out during late May, but it would come back. I noticed it only happened when it was really hot inside the car. I also noticed that the odometer also was out at the same time. This pretty much meant it was not a VSS issue. This lead me to the ceramic resonator. I was able to source it form eBay as my go to sour Mouser Electronics said it was obsolete for a $5 for two. I had to unsolder and solder three small pins. This has fixed all the heat related issues with the speedo and odometer.
