You can see that things were going badly for Greg Moore even at 0:30, gained a few positions but carrying way too much speed, no way he was going to make it around that corner.

RIP Greg Moore, the Gilles Villeneuve of indycars...

For as great as Greg Moore was, this was not one of his shining moments. He avoids hitting his teammate only to realize that his braking zone was....WAAAAAY BACK THERE!!!! At that point, he was along for the ride and his attempt to go over the curbs was futile. Happens to the best of drivers.

It was a true rival of F1, from 1989 to 2002... It was really bigger then F3000, just not big enough to be a replacement.

The first lap shambolics, Greg moore hit the back of both Andretti and Fittipaldi. Blundell ran into the gravel trap, I thought that André Ribeiro has stalled the engine and Paul Tracy as well.

You know what I say? It's not a typical Portland race unless someone somehow screws up in that goddam--err, Festival Curves.

That definitely was Greg Moore's fault for going in there with WAY too much speed. But at least he was man enough admit that it was his fault.
