Junior did the same thing to Mikey in the 2002 night race how ironic

They really fucked this track up with the progressive banking. It took all its character away.

Everything wrong with NASCAR today, look at the sponsors in this race who no longer sponsor cars.

I was at this race, my first Cup race. Thanks for hosting and helping me relive the memories.

This winning driver who lost his father a week or so prior. This was a very emotional victory and there certainly wasn't a dry eye in the place. This goes up there in some of those performances of athletes who lose a loved one and have to push on. We don't have a textbook that can adequately prepare us for death, we have to find a way to pick up the pieces and move on.

Everything they said about Gordon was true

Helps that he had one of the best crews behind his back. His logistics is what made him the best.

I remember that this Race was broadcasted from Eurosport here in Germany. 140.000 in the Grandstand,at now NASCAR is glad to get 40.000.🤐 I was a Fan of these Races until then Gen5 cars left, they,'ve wrecked down everything, cars,no name Kids or drivers, smooth Tracks, splitted races.

I’m quite sure i’m not the only one who has said this that these race cars are brighter looking even in day light! What an era

It's real pain on metal. Cars do not "pop" the same with wraps.

Also the flashes of the camera... Once those cameras stopped flashing professional sports lost its touch

At the same time WWF War Room is Raw Saturday Edition was on with Undertaker and Kane doing the choke slam tombstone Jive dancing after Mr. McMahon called them p*$$¥$. August 22, 1998 to be exact.

Watched this talking to dad on the phone. ESPN had a terrible tendency to fixate on the back runners, telling stories about their job searches or dogs or whatever, and completely miss a pass for the lead. "Ohp! We have a new leader!" they would exclaim in surprise. Then right back to talking about the 30th place car. All in all they did well but that thing always irritated me.

I disliked TNT/NBC's through the field for this reason. Probably didn't need to know the 19th place car had a slight air pressure adjustment on their last stop.

ESPN pre LeBron woke and broke and NBC with TNT pre NBCSN and USA were biased of Earnhardt. Fox is becoming biased on Jeff Gordon, Chase Elliot, Hallie Deagan, Natalie Decker and Bubba Smollet. Go Woke and Go Broke.

I loved how they showed battles farther in the back of the pack. This is something that they do not nearly do enough now a days. Great racing back in the day. Loved the battle that Dick Trickle and Kenny Wallace had, right in front of the leaders. Early on. Can’t beat it.

See, i hate how now it's only the top 10, especially when it's spread out and nothing is happening. I wanna know about the little guys more. Some people only root for under dogs

But now people complain about only focusing on the leaders instead of 26th place Anthony Alfredo. What do y'all want 😂
