"Bolt cutters are your disconnect" reminds me of the apocryphal story of how the term SCRAM came about. The SCRAM button is the emergency shut off for nuclear reactors, and legend has it that it is called that because in the first nuclear power tests, there was a guy stationed above the reactor in a room with a rope that held a boron control rod above the reactor. If the reactor got out of control, it was his job to cut the rope so the boron would drop in and stop the reactor. The tool they gave him to accomplish this task? An axe. And so they called him the Safety Control Rod Axe Man.

“If smoke is pouring out of it… You have full permission to grab the bolt cutters and go to town on the cables.” This is a man who knows what he’s doing AND cares deeply for the car he’s talking about. It’s honestly the best thing to do if you’re capable. Grab the best-insulated “snippers” you have and sever any connection to the power source. If the owner ever reads this: Wire in a shutoff switch within the driver’s reach. A transfer switch would be perfect and easy to wire if you’re capable, which you seem to be. This would perform the same function as cutting cables randomly, and much quicker. I’d almost recommend doing this in any modified vehicle that utilizes high-voltage/amperage electronics. If you’re incorporating the electronics, it’s nearly remedial to add such a safety feature, and it could save your life.

you should connect the knock sensor to the subwoofers

You know what will be interesting adding a turbo and upgrading tony's engine to see if its more powerful and economical though keeping as much of the original engine as possible

Adding a turbo will most likely explode tony's engine. Or the turbo lag, which older cars suffer from would make him a widowmaker. I have a 1983 Volvo 240 GLT with a turbo and it's a death trap.
