It’s likely your pilot jets. Those are for idle and start up.

I have a 1997 Honda Shadow 1100 Spirit with 11,500 miles. I love the bike. It's super comfortable and easy to ride. It has plenty of power for a rider and a passenger. The only negative about these bikes, is the sound. The dual crank pin set up makes these bikes sound like a VW Bug with loud pipes.

@@CJ2603 According to a Honda spec sheet, it has a 28.7" seat height. Hope that helps.

My 98 was firing well with no issue with choke, but now I have difficulties starting it up. It will start but with throttle open when you hit the starting button. Choke doesn't help anymore which I don't know why. What is the problem here?

the choke is a fuel drip

Take carb off clean the needle snd seat with carb cleaner. It is not getting fuel. While you are at it check your fuel filter put in a new air filter. This should fix the problem.

Right now I almost bought a 1998 ace 1100c2 and the one that looks just like a Harley turquoise and white 32000 miles for $2,700 hard bags! this is almost the end of August 2023, I almost bought it but I wasn't sure I've never had a big bike that big.i don't have a place to keep it in ,,I'd have to keep it in the yard under a tarp but I've been thinking about it a lot

Where did you get the rims from. I need mag rims for my 98.

Thes rims came standard on every VT1100C Honda Shadow Spirit bike from 1997-2007. You can often find them for sale on Ebay. You can also find nice looking rims from the 2000-2007 Honda Sabre's.
