For cleaning driveshafts, or similar stuff, you could use also oscillatory(?)/oscillation(?) grinder. Lower RPM (lower probability of taking to much material), but adds extra movement, and you can select sand paper disc fineness (?) that suits best. Hope you're doing well. It's nice to see your progress with MX-5. Shame I couldn't blow her up on last mission.

Evaporust is excellent at rust removal. Plus you can reuse it many times.

Evaporust is a god send if you have the time to let it do its thing.

All that grease inside the bearings should have done a good job of preventing rust anyway cap. If you are confident enough you can probably knock the bearing race out enough to pop that seal off, re-seat the bearing race and re-pack the bearings with new grease.

@@grimreapers2 if the grease in the bearings look ok then you can just get away with not doing it, if your worried then take the bearings to a mechanic, shouldn’t cost too much since you’ve done a lot of the work already.
