Will be eager to see what this one brings on BaT. I bought a ‘99 E300 Turbodiesel earlier this year with almost the same amount of miles. It’s the perfect commuter car, and we’ve taken it on three long-distance trips, too. Next to the OM617, this OM606 turbocharged engine is the best.

I have owned a 1998 e320 from 115k miles to its current mileage at 277k miles - transmission and engine are still original and strong, and seemingly can take a bit of abuse and stress tests without any noticeable issues in long-term performance

My mom had a car like this when I was growing up, I really loved the way this car sounded. Unfortunately our’s had severe rust problems as well, so we had to give it away :-/
