@@mrandrossguy9871 I got to see and hear both models and I'd say the F-110's were louder. The F-16 has a similar engine so imagine 2 F-16's flying over in afterburner and that's what one F-14B/D sounded like. The TF-30's were loud though don't get me wrong.

I served with them on U.S.S. GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN 73 1997-98 Med Cruise with Carrier Airwing 1! There is NO better thrill than to hook those Tomcats up to the Catapult and Send them up!!!

djromeo92557 I was on the USS Normandy for that deployment, we spent a decent amout of time behind you during flight ops. I loved seeing the F-14 fly!

i was in this squadron 2000-2005....let me tell you....this is not the checkmates.....I was in the checkmates, tail insignia is that of the VF-102 diamond backs.....also we flew Alphas....NOT BRAVOS!!! look at the afterburner cans and compare for yourself. please fix your description...thanks! our tail markings were checkerboards.
