1998 PIAA AAAA State Title--CB West 56 New Castle 7

12/12/98--The Bucks destroy New Castle behind junior RB Dustin Picciotti's 236 yards rushing and five touchdowns.

My high school (Abington Heights) played CB West in the state playoffs in 1998 and 1999. We hung in pretty tough in the '98 game at Council Rock. It was 3-3 right before half and we were inside the CB West 10 when a 100 yard pick 6 completely changed the game. They blocked a punt in the 3rd to stretch the lead to two possessions iirc. I think we lost 34-10'ish....

The 1970 Ne-Ca-Hi team was much better than 1998 CBW, taking into account the difference in sizes of players. No Creatine Pettine in 1970.

Western pa football is very over rated. The east has always been better

LMAO look up the total number of state titles by district and tell me that, if you mean the wpial the wpial has by far the most titles and the east has far more big schools than the west, you still don't have the most in that classification, new castle for example was a tiny AAAA school, they shortly dropped down to AAA after this game and now play in 4A out of 6 classifications, CB West was so big they split up into two large schools the bucks had their run in the late 90's and that's pretty much it, nowadays it's just philly catholic and charter schools that recruit that win against the west look up pro football hall of famers from Pa, guess where most of them come from

a better team than these bucks? you are stuck in the late 90's because we just saw one last year, pine richland they stomped your catholic all star team in the final st. joes prep, dustin picciotti was this teams best player and he stunk at pitt, got beat out by lousaka polite who played at woodland hills in the wpial, used concussions as an excuse yet went and played at rhode island LOL teams actually play sophisticated offenses these days, back then it was just line up, our line beats your line, and our running back runs for yards, this team would have no answer for pine richland's phil jurkovec and pine has D1 players on their line that would handle this line how is it an easier path in the west? again you are stuck in the late 90's when the east was better
