Bought mine 2 years ago, I'm the second owner, a '95 Bandit with 74.500 kms on the clock. Previous owner did an average 3.000kms a year. Now she's going for her first 100.000 kms and she's running great, nimble, fast and really cheap - I only paid 700€ for the bike!

I have one, and it is from 1998. It is now 2024. So it is 26 years old. Ridden some modern bikes. No thanks, keeping my Bandit. 😉

I like the Bandit 600s I think it has a good engine sound very comfortable and has a tight new feel,and is great fun to ride and is fast and easy rev ablility that makes it feel very sporty, with a nice easy gearbox and light handling and incredible reliability

Bought mine as my first bike, '95 model, 38k km, bright red and in mint condition. It handles like a modern bike and rides even smoother. (Had my lessons on a brand new Kawasaki Z650)

I bought a new 600S naked version in 2000 in that glorious metallic candy red. My first personal big bike. I was a police biker at the time. I rode it from the west of Ireland to London and back once. Bought it because I loved the way it sounded and the retro looks. Saddle is very uncomfortable on long journeys though.

The reason the bike looks so new and the info is out of date is that this clip is from around 1999. Shot at Salford Quays/Trafford Wharf, Manchester - tower cranes in the background are building The Lowry theatre and galleries which opened in October 2000. No BBC Media City etc - 20th Century!

The 12 isnt actually all that much faster, just alot more torque, lots and lots of it if I'm honest. Friend of mine had one and had it bored to I think 1380cc. It was pretty brutal after that i must say

This guy has no clue what he's talking about, Bandit GSF 600 has a GSXF 600 engine, NOT RF600R engine.
@seinthomas8 жыл бұрын
Yep you're right. Beside that, it got front suspension, brake calipers, wheels, part of rear brake light, all from RF600. He made a shortcut lol ;)
@garrett-gt4hz7 жыл бұрын
RF is the same as a gsxf and a gsx and a gsf just different bores and different cams. Some rocker covers fit on most others but there is some slight variations along the seal line so some years are compatable and others not!.
@garrett-gt4hz7 жыл бұрын
The gsf was made completely out of parts off of other machines all ready on the market ! The only thing not recycled was the petrol tanks! And slight body work and frame design! Tho the engine mounts and shock mounts are all standard Suzuki layout n sizes !.

Grabir01 - Harleys are simply overpriced fashion statements with maximum (and unnecessary) noise and cubic capacity and minimal performance to boot and usually ridden my middle aged angry men who can't smile or nod at you like most other bikers do.

"he... Or she" so this equality shit started even back in 1998? Nothing wrong with equality, don't get me wrong, but having to articulate everything specifically for women is just nuts... Even for me to say I don't have anything against equality is essential, otherwise I'd lose my job.

Looks stupid... Would rather have a 50 year old Harley than this new Bandit.
@tooljst88 жыл бұрын
+grabir01 This design is over twenty years old. And some people prefer standard bikes over cruisers. It is nice that bikes come in so many shapes and sizes, it gives us options.
@grabir018 жыл бұрын
I guess so.. If you are over 5'4, these bandits really cramp you... This guy looks to be 5'5 and he looked cramped riding this bike. For a Grocery getter, I guess that is ok...
@WiseFoolTrades8 жыл бұрын
+grabir01 He's definitely more than 5"4. I would go so far as saying around 5"10 but yeah he does look somewhat cramped, especially in the ariel shots.
@grabir018 жыл бұрын
Prior to 1984, what you say about Harleys was true... But once Harley in 1984 aligned with Porsche to design and build the Evo Motors, that all changed big time.. You really need to get cracking there Snickle.
@adunkley928 жыл бұрын
Ahhh but you said 50 y/o Harley haha. Still though even with Porsche on thier side, I don't think they'll ever out class the Japenese reliability. I have a '76 Suzuki gt500 that my granddad bought brand new and it has never once, like literally never, broke down and it has been rode every day of it's life.
