This is the actual 1st Annual SWAC Football Championship between Jackson St. vs Southern University. It was played on December 11th, 1999 at legendary Legion Field. Southern won 31 to 30 to win the first SWAC Championship Game. BET showed the game on tape-delayed and they should have shown this classic live.

I totally agree. As historic as HBCU Football is, it deserves the honor respect to be shown live. Aspire shows a few SIAC and CIAA Games. I need someone to do more, plus we got more coverage when the MEAC had their regional package.

Do you have the first Heritage Classic game in Miami. The game was between Ala State and NC A&T.1990 or 91. I saw that game. The late great Eddie Robinson also attended.

@@w1hines The only negative that NFL SCOUTS held against Hayes was a lack of speed he was clocked in a slow 4.6. New England said that Hayes listed at 6'4 214 had everything that you would want as a WR minus aforementioned speed.
