Just bought a 03 TL, the rear sub is almost exactly the same as the Bose door subs in my Q60.

Great video! Thank you for taking the time to explain and demonstrate the options. My sub is busted. Unfortunately I don't want to cut. I think ill just try to have it repaired or buy the same at a scrap yard. Or find another sub. Not really looking for an upgrade so much just replace since i already hear some rattle in the back and don't want to make it worse. Again thanks for the video.

You can also make the 10in sub out the similar year acura mdx suv fit if you’re cool with drilling new holes; also, sound deaden the shit out of the deck if you do this to avoid rattle because it’s mounted metal to metal

Was the process of pre wiring the pioneer dual voice coil sub difficult? And also what kind of bracket did you use to make it fit well?

no just follow a simple wiring diagram they are online everywhere "dual 2ohm subwoofer to 1 ohm" you can google. As for the bracket you can find it on our store.

Is it possible to have the kicker subwoofer plus a separate aftermarket sub setup too? Would there need to be a whole different amp set up with it?

yes, you don’t want two subs to share an amp unless they’re the same specs (rms, impedance, sesativity, etc.) it’s easy to just put a second sub and amp though, even if you don’t have a head unit, the wires to grab signal for a loc are right there

How would I go about using the upgraded amp with a box instead of the replacement sub? With it being plug and play do certain connectors need to be cut?

the PNP amp will have a pair of grey wires that are the output. You will just cut those and then run the wires to your box. The grey/black wire is negative the grey wire is positive.
