Definitely need to share the details on how to rearrange the harness to keep the factory radio controls. I installed on my non-nav ‘05 a couple days ago, and only being able to change the volume via the steering wheel controls is a pain.

Just change your speaker to s 2 way or 3 way youll get clearer and louder sound

Good friend of mine won IASCA a few times. He was a pro installer and could put a new head unit and door speakers (4) in just about any car in 30 minutes. Looked factory when he was done.

You could've put a gasket on the stock speaker to stop the rattle and they would've been matched to the head unit still, I bet the sound clips like crazy now, great job to sell speakers and a spacer. Buy the foam skip the rest!

Sounds like crap either way. Doors are horrible enclosures unless do some more work. Also way too much bass going to that little speaker. Pretty sure you need a crossover.

Would you know why my front door speakers stopped working when I tried upgrading to alpine? Els system 2009 tsx. I’m guessing I somehow blew the amp? Double checked the wires and each wire to the speaker is getting 4.5v

Heads up bro, the tech package subwoofer in the wagon does NOT have an amp inside of it. The whole system is powered by 1 amp. Also, DS18 and rockford fosgate have shallow mount 8s" that may work well for this
