Go to Sonic Electronix website tell it the vehicle you have and it will tell you the wiring kit aka harness and the brackets you need for your year when you are looking at head units and door speakers

The way the Jeeps infinity speaker system is setup with the amp underneath rear seat you must run a amp and the wires if you want sound from the front doors

The sound goes through the RCA wires to a 4 channel amp and from the 4-channel amp speaker wires go to all four doors

Doesn't matter what Edition or stereo that's in there it must have a factory ground look for the black wire probably a little bit thicker than the rest. Otherwise find a factory ground location anywhere under the dashboard there's plenty of them look for black wires going to metal

@@FastestIntegra do you think I can make my own ? Do you think the Phillips screw that holds the ac and heat switch if I wire brushed it and cleaned it up would work was gonna try that tomorrow because I don't see any black wire other than twisting them together now they just need grounded

Watch the video at 7:30 I show the factory ground wire. Otherwise find a good piece of metal sand it down so it's clean metal and yes you can bolt it to anything like that if you have a test light please use your test light and make sure it showing ground but it's just a head unit so it's not requiring a shit ton unlike a amplifier

Yes, it does matter if you use a very tiny screwdriver or a panel pryer. Even using a kitchen fork won’t damage the dash as much as a very tiny screwdriver. Thanks though.

Hello, Very simple and useful video, thank you. I'm hoping you might have a suggestion or advice for my pioneer DEH-s31bt... ...my 04 does not have the amp under the back passenger seat, and I had replaced the factory with factory until this aftermarket pioneer. Only my front passenger speaker has sound and the new head unit works fine other than not distributing sound to the other 5 speakers (tweeters, back and driver doors). Do you know of a potential troubleshooting tip, area or connection to check? Thank you, -L.

Your Jeep most likely has the standard stereo system not the Infinity Gold option Jeeps came with that had a amp under the rear seat I would guess. If you matched up all the wiring colors properly, I would test the front passenger speaker that works to each channel on the head unit to see if its a bad speaker or connection to the speaker. The front tweeters are not going to work with a aftermarket head unit. Most aftermarket head units do not have the wiring for it. Feel free to ask more questions if you need help.

@@FastestIntegra Wrong about the front tweeters. Mines are kickin' nicely with my JVC, we tapped into the factory system wiring to keep them active, so you can try that.

The stock alternator is 136 amps.. look at the fuses on your amplifier and if it's higher than that amount you will need extra power like an extra battery...

You need a aftermarket deck and a 4 channel amp.

Hello I'm new to your channel I just subscribed. I have a few questions if you don't mind. Was that the stock radio you replaced? I have an 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I wanna install an aftermarket cd player so I can run my 12" sub. My Jeep came with the amp under the back passenger seat. Can I hook up my sub to that amp or should I just use my aftermarket amp? If I use the aftermarket amp do I still need the stock amp under the seat? Is the stock amp connected to the tweeters? The only controls on my steering wheel is for cruise control will all of that still work? Sorry I know this is alot of questions but I'd appreciate any information you're willing to share with me.

Some places in the city I live have a $1 install if you buy everything from them which is really expensive. Other places will charge by the hour will to be really really expensive. I would say I saved anywhere from $250 up to $1000 doing all the work myself

What up man? Loved your video series on the WJ stereo install. In the last seconds of this video you show that underneath the back seat you have em packed with huge amps... I have a Kicker CXA 360.4 that is no where near as large... My question is have you had any problems with heat do to restricted air flow back there? You don't have room for much else back there so you had to make it fit... I dig it! Keep up the good work and I hope to see you on the trails! Best Wishes

Thank you I have not updated my stereo videos in a long time. A lot has changed I started competing in car audio competitions again and won a ton of trophies last year 2021. I have changed both amps since that video my four channel is now an Alpine and my bass amp is now a Taramps Smart Bass 3k underneath the rear seat and I do not have heat problems even in the summer time when it's 110 here. This Jeep had the infinity gold system in it which has a extra amp under the seat and it has a CD changer in the back plus the steering wheel controls. That was a good question thank you.
