The BMW E46 3 series is one of the great all rounders. Luxury, performance and style that just hasn't aged. It may indeed be the full package and may fill the needs from sales rep to petrol head but has it got enough soul to keep being a car you'll want to daily?

i own this, its really great enough for city drive... a very well balance car. all mechanics said the same thing, very easy to fix and will not give u headaches. i use for 24 years, and the fuel pump still working and only recently the camshaft and crankshaft sensors had to be replaced...

Very nice car indeed for its age. The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is that front badge. I’d be needing to get that replaced as soon as possible.

Hi I'm looking to buy a new daily driver under 1.5k and found two cars maybe could suit the preferences, one is a Mk1 Ford Focus from 2004 with a zetec 1.6 and the other is a Skoda Octavia Estate with a 1.9 TDI from 2002. Could you give me an advice on which you'd reckon would suit better for a daily driver, mainly how reliable it is on longer run. PS. Love your vids, keep up the great work!

Both good choices. The Focus would be my choice just because it looks a bit more interesting and handles really really well. The only thing is that they can be prone to rust

actually the 1.9 m43 doesn't sound so bad with an exhaust and a hole drilled in the air box. actually drilling about a 5cm hole in the air box freed up the engine above 4000rpm and it pulled all the way to reline where before it choked up above 4500 and lost all steam above 5k. shame i found copper in the engine oil lmaooo, guess it's time for an M54.

The copper in the engine oil seems to be a natural occurance with this engine, i've got 2 of them and they both do it, one of them has nearly 400 000 kms
