The Siera was HORRIBLE. It was all over the place , couldn't corner, way too heavy and slowwwww. I had a 2L Siera, hated it.

My first car was an H reg MK3 SRi - inherited from my dad when he bought himself an Impreza WRX. Loved it! Fast enough to have fun as a young driver without being too silly. Eventually rust in the chassis claimed it, and I was sad to see it go.

My family has had one of these for 18 years now. Unfortunately showing its age now but it was very good to us down through the years. Bought 2nd hand in 2006. We went on many the holiday, birthday party and other things with it. Although it's a big car, ours is only the 1.6 njoy version so it's not really the fastest thing around and for sure could do with a few extra horses at times when hauling stuff

@shia_labeoufАй бұрын
It's quite funny that they did that offset thing because the B3E motor was a pretty inefficient little lump, even for the era. 38mpg if you were lucky and 178g/km emissions compared the Yaris or Fiesta of the time that were under 150, or even the Polo with it's much better 1.4l engine that was still only 160. Of course people didn't really know what those numbers meant back then because it wasn't a tax metric and there was no ULEZ so it probably makes sense, from a marketing standpoint, to do something tangible like "5 oak trees". Anyway, another great video and the outlasting a tree bit made me laugh. Shame about the B-roll, would've been funny to watch you scramble into the bed mode.

Congrats on 10 years mate. I can relate to you with the school experience, cars just weren't really cool. Dunno if its because most people don't get into cars until they're old enough to drive, but I didn't know anyone else who was mad about them like I was. And then I was doubly f**ked because I was into computers too. It's a great way to run the channel - create content that you enjoy making and don't feel the pressure that Al Gorithm seems to pile on most car KZbinrs to constantly blast out endless content, turning it into a job rather than the fun thing one used to do in their spare time. I can say I'm a fan of yours because of the writing and humour so you're spot on there as far as I'm concerned. Cheers and here's to the next 10.

Thanks JJ! School days ay, just a right of passage into "the real world" I suppose. I agree, life is unfortunately too short to catch the algorithm and in addition I don't believe I'd get the time off work even if I wanted to catch it. I hope to continue to entertain with the writing and humour for at least another 6 or 7 years!

I completely understand where you are coming from I'm exactly like you I have always enjoyed car shows on tv like the old deals on wheels, top gear, and wheeler dealers plus watching how cars are designed and manufactured in car factory's and alot of people though I was weird my dad thinks I'm boring and as I suffer from anxiety issues it helps me relax and come down have you tried Rover reviews like the 200 R8, 75 keep up the hard work well done and remember there are lots of people like you and me that share the same thoughts.

That's not weird at all. Of all the TV shows/ videos out there sometimes an old episode of Top Gear is all that will do. My first car was low mileage with full service history, but because I got it from a town called Oadby, which is like Bradford for posh people, it blew its head gasket two years into my ownership. The current one’s doing much better, probably because I got it from Cheshire and it spent a few of its time living around Harrogate.

Enjoyed the review..I have a 23 year old Daihatsu Terios which I have used virtually every day for the last 2 and a 1/2 years especially for my window cleaning round... About the only thing I had to replace is a drive belt and a wrong sized battery on the car ... other wise it has saved me from handing over bucket loads of cash to some garage as it works everyday and seems virtually indestructible...🚗..😉

@@tptp5118 Mine is a manual gearbox so I cannot comment on the automatics ... Check chassis underneath for any rust ( but off course bear in mind the age of the vehicle) ...it is said that the exhaust system can deteriorate very quicky but mine does not seemed to have done worse than any other car ...I would say ( and I am only speaking for my car) the reliability has been excellent with virtually all the main parts still original... Definitely not a car that loves spending time in garages ( though if you have bucket loads of cash to throw away on a car then maybe this does not matter )...I did have a starting problem a while back but it was only after looking at the battery I realised there was a small car battery fitted inside but the problem did not show up until winter ...Once I put in the correct battery the car has been faultless since ..😉......P S ....just on the bucket loads of cash situation..I remembered turning up at a customers house once and the man had his head stuck inside his beloved B M W ...In language I cannot repeat here he moaned that he had spent around 1600 pounds on his Car and it was still not working properly ( and this was a while back ) .... But then as they say ...You pays your money and takes your choice !!! ,,,🧐

Passat B7 (the car that has a similar design) was on the market in 2011. Phaeton launched in 2002 and is basically the same car, even with the facelifts (until 2016). So the Passat looks like the Phaeton not the other way around! (Yeah, I know, nobody cares but keep in mind this car is 22 years old) I have driven the S class, Audi A8, BMW 7 series and Porsche Panamera, all cars have ups and downs, it's only a matter of taste in what car you would choose in this segment, anyway, if you are looking for PURE COMFORT, only the S class can offer something similar with the Phaeton. This car is just like Alladin's magic carpet, it's like driving a cloud. It is very heavy, it's massive, it has a STEEL frame, not an aluminium as the A8, so the comfort and interior insonorisation is far superior. If you drive it on a long trip you will realise this car is just a cheaper variant of a Bentley but actually Bentley is just a more expensive variant of a Phaeton, it has the same dashboard, gauges, leather and so on as the Flying Spur that was 3 times more expensive. It's not just me who realised this, just watch this video and you will find out that Piech wanted to build the BEST CAR IN THE WORLD: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3yumqSfl7SrpcU BTW you mentioned Jaguar XK, I think you meant XJ but anyway, Jeremy Clarkson said that he would choose the Phaeton instead and I agree, the materials are fare more PREMIUM in the Phaeton and it feels much more expensive. The only problem of this car was the badge and the maintanance which is as expensive as a Bentley, especially if you choose the 6.0 W12 engine. Choose the V6 TDI and you will have the same costs as a Touareg. Cheers! ;)

Uneven volume level inside the video is slightly annoying. Isn't there a filter in your video program to equalize the volume in the entire video? Camera angle inside the car is not optimal. Room for improvement?

I second this. Audio is the first thing that comes across as "annoying" if there are issues with it, in any video. And the tilt issue could have been fixed even by shooting wider and rotating the video in post. Review is nice overall tho. 😁

I did mine up exactly like a red saloon SRI boot spoiler and col coded the bumpers and wheel trims and decals looked identical.
