I had the privilege of being in the original cast, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I don't have the video and had never seen the documentary before...what an amazing thing to see our behind-the-scenes footage and everything that went into getting us off the ground. Thanks so much for sharing-I appreciate it! Fun fact...we played Madonna's Ray of Light album every night during our intermissions. :-)

CIRCA 2005 A young girl in Kyoto Tachibana Brass Band Club saw a video...this video. She was inspired particularly by the performance of Sing Sing Sing. She had the idea, perhaps even the vision that the club should choreograph complex steps and dance into their performance of Sing Sing Sing...even while playing. The link is to a somewhat modest stage performance of Sing Sing Sing by KTSHS Band. I hope you will watch it. In this video is a flute player who was very determined to join KTSHS Brass Band. This young girl it is said did not like to wear skirts. When she was born her left leg ended below the knee. She had surgery to be fit with a prosthetic leg. She endured the grueling practice/performance schedule. 35hrs per week 50 weeks a year. Practice before and after school, weekends, holidays. She made it. She even performed in the 5.5 mile long Tournament of Roses Parade in 2018. The club fielded a band 200 strong made up the current club members and alumni. Once Tachibana always Tachibana. They saved their signature song for the moment they completed the turn onto Colorado Blvd. where the drums broke into the familiar Gene Krupa cadence and the band breaks into their step kick....and the crowd CHEERS. It is said many members join KTSHS Brass Band just to be able to perform and dance to Sing Sing Sing. Everyone in Burn The Floor had a part in this thing....this thing they do. It is a part of the legacy of what BTF built. .....and that young flute player....she is in this video Thank you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZqygp5uiMmpY8k

I have seen this show live in Australia and I was so impressed with it I joined my local dance club which I enjoyed myself that I helped out with the equipment and help teach the new students how it's done. I was a member of my local Line Dance club for 5 years. I still have my own uniform which is still in a plastic bag. I would like to go back but since then I suffered a stroke in March of this year and it's taken me about 3 months how to walk again. Music and dancing was my favourite thing to do and watch.
