Carly hated Tony, fine. But when the baby turned out to be AJ's, that would have prevented Tony from getting custody like he wanted. So she had won. But then she had to start another war between Jason and AJ! It's like she didn't want to admit she had a one night stand. And claiming Michael was Jason's also enabled her to screw over Robin who she was jealous of.

Well, in all fairness, A.J. was basically a glorified sperm donor. a ONS that he was too drunk to recall. He had no real relationship with Carly, they weren't married or even dating. He doesn't automatically get to be Michael's father, just b/c of dna. Many men aren't a part of their biological kids lives... happens ALL THE TIME. Jason isn't the villain in this scenario. biology isn't everything!

One night stand or not, the child is still apart of him. His flesh and blood. Any man who would not acknowledge that is pathetic and sorry. So I have to be on AJ's side in this. Always have and always will. At least he was Man enough to Want to claim a baby he made. I give him credit. Jason had no right to decide if AJ should be Michael ' s father period. luckyjasonfan I get that. All I am saying is at least AJ wanted to be a father to his child. There are a lot of men who are not man enough to want to step up like that. That is all I was saying. Even if Jason was a good father to Michael thanks to Carly and her lies, he still had no right to decide if AJ should raise his own child. When he had Jake, he chose to walk away. AJ deserved that the chance to make the same choice too not have it stolen from him period.

It's sad that aj does not even try to bond or comfort his son. He was all about when he wrongly thought Jason was the dad he said " I never knew how badly I wanted to be a father til now " I cant recall aj even holding or playing & BONDING WITH HIS child. Monica alan & edward used to die for a rare peak at Micheal but once he was in the q house Monica .& alan should have had a scene of them taking Micheal for a walk or playing with him. They all just let leticia do all the heavy lifting.

They didn't show AJ bonding with Michael except in 1998 when AJ babysat his "nephew." AJ was showing up at Jason and Carly's regularly trying to bond with Michael. AJ doing stuff with Michael was referred to but no, we never saw it, but just before Carly left Michael stopped crying around AJ.

This was my thing. I’m not saying that it was ok that AJ was denied Michael but AJ did not try to go and comfort Michael. Michael got used to Jason more so than Carly. Jason spent more time with Michael than his own mother. Carly started this shit and AJ kept blaming Jason but did not acknowledge how this all started with Carly. AJ should have spent time with Michael day by day before completely ripping him from Jason. If a child bonds with someone and then you just rip them out of their life the child is going to feel some type of way. When you think about other switches or paternity reveals the baby is usually under a year old so that gives the real parents a chance to bond with the child but if you take the child after their a year old their is already a bond there.
