22 years ago today. At 16:26, when Greg mentions that he had to go to Indianapolis the following Tuesday to get treatment for his injury, it chokes me right up knowing that he didn't live to see the day.😭 Eerie. One day you're here, the next you're not. Reminder of how fragile life truly is and how quickly God wants you to come home. Greg was indeed on track to become one of the greatest race car drivers of all time. Instead, we'll never know what he could have become. His death has left such a huge impact on me in recent years. I'll likely never get over it. RIP Greg.

I miss the CART series. As an F1 fan since 1993 and having started watching CART in 96, CART was the better product and arguably had a better depth of drivers towards the end of the century. I remember the Fontana 99 race vividly and losing Greg so young was terrible. I always think of him every 31st October. He was destined for huge success..

Both Greg and Justin Wilson broke the same hand bones. Scaphoid. Both great drivers.

I was about to write the same thing (only a few years behind you!). Imagine he had lived and driven for Penske in 2000. Its easy for me to forget just how great he was - I was super young in the 90s. Anyway, hope you're good and RIP Greg.

3:41 see the wall that greg hit on sunday - there was no fence until sat afternoon I believe the track made changes and decided it was a good idea to put a fence up.

Not disagreeing with you but it's hard to tell from this video. I do remember a story from back then that spectators on the inside of the track weren't happy that a fence was being erected because it would spoil their view...

In hindsight Greg should probably left his car for super sub Moreno to drive. The crash would have never happened and he would still be alive :(
