@wavnino13 жыл бұрын
@@Studeb I'm sure I probably wont say anything different then what Jay has said about the C5. The C6 is a fun car to drive and its nimble. I drove a '08 nothing too spectacular. Going from the C5 to C6 it gets a bit tighter, Leg room and cargo space. The C6 is slightly smaller than its predecessor but without a doubt it delivers fantastic power for the price in modern day standards if were talking BHP, even a base C6. The C7 is pretty cool. I wasn't a fan at first but it grew on me. It's the most snug outta the 3. It definitely feels more compact if you're tall like me, the cockpit can feel pretty tight and I haven't drove it on long trips for that reason. When lane changing, looking over my shoulder There was also a blindspot with the Pillar in the C7 as well. But the different driving modes are very fun and enjoyable and on the track if thats your thing. There were times when I would just be on the freeway just fooling with the different modes. Track mode sounds awesome. The interior is a huge upgrade from the C6 (sport seats), The infotainment system is pretty nice the stash compartment is real cool to have. I feel that is the last good Vette if compared to the C8. The C8 design still hasn't grown on me and even seeing it up close and personal I don't think my mind will be changed. Even tho I personally like the C6 more, even with the undesirable interior (dash, the pointless one cup holder) The C5 just has a special charm to it that people gravitate towards. Rather than the C6 and C7, I've received more attention and engaged in more conversation (plenty of times where I didn't want to lol) all when driving the C5 which is mind boggling to me. Its quick and nimble if you've add some minor suspension to it (Z51). It's reliable, gas mileage is superb as you know, especially in this day and age with gas going up. Its actually pretty comfortable with the sport seats, leg room, head space, spacious; very good cargo room as well. There were times I use to actually go grocery shopping in that car. It feels light and all around a blast to drive. All in all, It's a beauty. Theres just something majestic about those pop-up lights and the curvaceous body. The C5 is a classic but you really can't go wrong with either of the 3. It all depends what you're looking for.

When I get behind the wheel of my 2001 ZO6, it is as if I am stepping into my soul. The interior is brilliantly designed: simple, functional and extremely comfortable. The C5 is the automotive extension of yourself. As my driving coach said "don't let the license plate fool you, this is a RACE CAR...with a really nice interior". So much excellence, I wish you all your own C5! Enjoy

Well said! I feel the same way. Just picked up a Z06 myself a couple of months back and I’m obsessed with it! Such a raw real race car! @BB-sc9gj 😂 ain’t now way. I’ve driven both. You feel much more connected to the road in the C5Z. Doesn’t feel like a luxury “convenient” car. That’s what I love about it.
@Z0Sick Жыл бұрын
@BB-sc9gj that’s just my opinion though. I’d pick a C5Z ANYDAY.
@Z0Sick Жыл бұрын
@BB-sc9gj C5Z was 385hp the first year then bumped up to 405hp 02-04. On the dyno, there wasn’t much of a difference between the two at the wheel. From most 0-60, 1/4 mile that I’ve seen, the C5Z wins every time. More light weight. The LS3 barely beats it. I love the LS3. C6 ZR1 is still the best vette ever made in my eyes. Absolute dream car. For the base C6, looks are okay. Not the biggest fan of the headlights but they did an amazing job on with going wider body on the C6 Z06, Grand Sport, ZR1. Looks much more aggressive.

Yes the instrument cluster is so gorgeous and functional when you see it in person. The tach and speedo are actually slightly raised from the cluster plane so there is a 3D effect.
