Some of your older videos have the comments turned off, but I just wanted to say thank you, your videos have been great as a reference as I work on my Jon boat build. I live in East Tennessee, hopefully I can get it out on the lake before the end of the season

I like that boat! I have the same trolling motor on my boat and it's a 1989, i was wanting to replace it but it still works good. Glad you showed labels on it. Mine don't have any info on it beside Evinrude, my direction indicator came off also. It yeeted itself off, as my kids said 😅

Hey bro- I’m in the middle of a Lowe 1652 full out conversion. I’m going to fish and duck hunt with it. I just started removing the foam from the inside of the rear bench. My wife is seriously questioning my decision to do this as she thinks this styrofoam is what makes the boat float. Now, I know it’s merely used as a supplemental material to hold the boat above the surface after a massive tsunami OR a dreadful capsize. How can I explain this to her in a logical way without causing a war? And….am I even correct in saying it is on the boat for the reasons I stated above or am I way off base, too? Oh and uh, GO VOLS!!! (From Hendersonville, north of Nash.)

It should have a stator on the motor that charges the batteries. Probably why they had the batteries connected, so it would charge them both...
@backwaterboatrehab6 ай бұрын
You’re right. I’ve just never seen anyone try to charge both batteries from the motor. Quick internet search shows it is indeed possible though.
@C_K_Williams6 ай бұрын
Batteries in parallel (+ to + and - to -) will maintain 12volts but increase the amp hour to the total of both batteries. Batteries in series (+ to - ) will increase volts but not the amp hour. Two 12 volt batteries in series will create a 24v system.
