1999 Honda civic knock sensor solution!!

The car is a 1999 Honda civic ex. Got the dreadful knock sensor code and what I initially did was replace the knock sensor but when I cleared the code and test drove the car, the check engine light came back on and it was for the knock sensor. I checked for voltage through the ks wire and all was good. So I ordered these transducers and installed them, cleared the code and took it for a test drive! The light didn’t come on at all during test drive!!!! Only drove it for about 10 mins though, going to see if it comes on after work! It shouldn’t, car was running good! Safe to say it works!!!!

Hey so I was running into this problem as well I even spent $100 or so for a knock from napa and also got some cheap ones from Amazon non worked and kept popping up knock sensor code and after finding a actually Genuine Honda, knock sensor. And it worked perfect, but when you call honda the knock sensor is about $300 new for some stupid reason but case in point either go with Genuine Honda Knock sensor or do this up to you but no cheap knock sensor will work.

hey im literally dealing with this right now. I have a 98 civic ex that throws a code no matter what ive tried to fix.. I saw a forum about this transducers thing. which ones did you buy off of amazon so i can do the same.??

Yes it did work and has been working to this day, haven’t had any problems with them
