Now this was a race. Normally when it comes to major championships like the worlds or the Olympics you have three slow laps with the sprint on the last lap. The ignorance of Cram about a race over a distance where he used to shine! Around 2:30, Cram rambles on after recalling El G's fall in Atlanta, that in more recent races he has been outkicked on one or two occasions when the pace was slow. In reality, El G did not lose a single race over 1500 m/mile from 1997 until his loss in 2000 (Sydney) to Ngeny. The fact that El G's records 1500m, mile, 2000m) still stand almost 25 years later, also adds to the "Jarrow" lad trying to belittle EL G.

That was pretty poor commentary. Not knowing the name of the "number 472 moroccan" Adil El Kaouch who was junior world champion was pretty unprofessional. Couple of factual mistakes. Also not commenting on the insane world record pace and insane final time for a championship race. All round pretty poor
@jordanodongo11723 ай бұрын
Well I disagree. There was a proper race between the top three and the commentary reflected that. It’s not every time the pace is fast that the whole commentary has to get fixated on that. Sure he didn’t go into detail about the athletes e.g. Kaouch - that doesn’t mean that all of a sudden the whole of the commentary was poor.
