Suoerb, I've been a mechanic since the 60's in the UK always on a big main agent site with a body shop next door, so known some really good paint guys especially using low bake. That's a great job plus if silver was the original colour then silver its got to be to keep it as it came from the factory. unless you're customising of course.

Sometimes I'll throw in what I'm doing and why I'm changing it but sometimes I don't get around to doing the voice-over until a week or two after the video is filmed so I can't always pinpoint what I'm doing in the video sometimes I'm raising the pressure sometimes I'm dropping it down depending on how things are flowing and I can't really take off my mask in the middle of the video to announce it. But I do add it in when I can Thank you for your comment. 💪🏻

@@PaintsByTrigger it's so hard to choose a shop that would get the job done right. I don't even mind paying more for quality but it's not easy to find good work these days. perhaps you can make a video on how to choose a shop and what questions to ask.

@@HiFiInsider you have to simply look at some of their finished work. Even some of the work that's in the shop see the stage they are at on the vehicle and how it's being done. And I think you've watched enough videos to know if something isn't the way it should be done or if not just come back and ask a few of the channels if it sounds right.

I'm double coating instead of putting one coat flash time is the amount of time between colts so since I'm not giving a flash time and I'm double coating it that means more material is sitting on the panel and needs an extended amount of time for the reducers to leave.

Thanks man. No I don't do much of that stuff at my job. The owner always turns those jobs done. He tells the customer he's already married He doesn't want to get married to their car and have it in the shop for years 🤣 And that's fine with me cuz I don't like doing that shit anyway, two time-consuming. Although I do have a spot repair coming up on a four stage candy. Still working on the video.

I haven't gone any bigger than I think it was a size 1. I'm actually working on a video now with micro holographic flakes, It's a spot in repair on a door . Four stages candy, Pearl, microflakes, then clear coat. I might drop it this Friday..
