Damn, Mat!!!! 1hr23mins in and I have already learned soooo much from this video. Not least of which is the love and respect you have for your dad, your determination to see an almost impossible job to a successful conclusion, and the friends and fans you have to lend a hand, donate an engine, loan a torque press, share an internal engineering document etc etc. Amazing work. Inspiring! And I don't even drive an ICE! You have a new subscriber. More updates as I watch the rest... 2h09mins you are a true engineer. Despite not having the technical training or manual for the machine, you work from first principles to solve issues and you apply logic, research and testing to confirm a hypothesis and find a solution. 2h26mins NEVER EVER SAY YOU DON'T HAVE TALENT! You lack formal Ferrari training and documentation. Talent? You've got fxxx tons. Your dad and your mates too. Anyone else rebuilt a Ferrari engine, gearbox, and associated dependencies on their first Ferrari? Talent? Pluuuleeeeze. 2h41mins who knew dry ice could be used for degreasing and cleaning? 2h53mins THE END. Superb. Simply superb.

I watched every minute of this video twice, and think it's amazing! What better ending than to give your father the car! My father and I had a plan to rebuild an old muscle car, after he retired soon...he had race cars he sold when I was born...he was a diesel mechanic by trade, and grew up in a transmission shop his father owned. I grew up in a garage, helping, learning, and doing routine maintenance, and aftermarket parts once I was driving. My father had a severe stroke, just 6 weeks before retirement, and one a year to the day another stroke, that completely debilitated him. He has dementia now, and is in a rest home. Watching your father in the garage with you through all your videos, reminds me of all the great times I had growing up working on cars, and time we spent together. I just wonder sometimes and especially seeing content like this, what would have decided to build, and the sense of accomplishment at the end...✌️

Usually I do not interact a lot with youtubers, being more of a "quiet" viewer, but let me say you I really appreciate your work and admire how you and your dad tackle all those challenges with all those different cars. YOu guys are doing an awesome Job. Also for the rest of the Team and Hannah, but I really wish you all the best for all projects. Having never had a "real" dad that would ever had encouraged me to work on things like this makes me realize ( with my now 40) years that I might have missed a lot over the years. Not complaining, because I was used to be on my owen since my 16th year of life but still this shows how it should be. I´m sure you guys had your fights and differences as well but you stick together and work on those sometime impossible challenges to make it work. Thank you so much for that content. Maybe we meet one day just to exchange some words maybe not. Still want to say, thank you so much. Much love and appreciation from Germany.

Hi Mat, I have watched you fix a number of cars, and I thought I was subscribed. I subscribe to everything I watch. I have watched you fix at least 6 or 7 cars. I watched you put together your garage. Maybe I should have said I watched you expand it. I opened up my phone, and it said subscribe. I just looked at my TV, and of course, if my phone said subscribe. Well you get what i'm saying. I know that when you are the man fixing the car that it's going to get fixed regardless of how bad things are. I have watched you take something that looks absolutely unfixable. But you never get deterred, you never get discouraged. You always come up with a solution. So as I watched you going through the Ferrari F430 that you're fixing right now. In my mind in my heart it felt like every single disaster you looked at inside that car. I said to myself he just touched another piece of gold. This is a cakewalk for Mat.
